From Taylor Swift's love for Tom Ford to Rihanna's secret to "smelling like heaven," it's become a skill of mine to track down celebrities' favorite perfumes. So if you ever asked yourself, what perfume does Beyoncé wear? I got you. As a big Bey fan myself, (I'm still recovering from my Cowboy Carter concert), it became my mission to find out her go-to fragrance.

Although the global superstar launched Beyoncé Parfums—Cé Lumiére and Cé Noir—her fragrance of choice is apparently Angels' Share by Kilian Paris. In fact, there are reports spotting the superstar during the Renaissance tour doing an after-hours Angels' Share pick up at Harrods. Word on the street is that she was donning the scent that day too.

If it's worth a world-tour detour to Beyonce, I needed to try it myself. I had the chance to grab a bottle, and let's just say Bey has certainly picked one of best-smelling perfume in the market.

What Is Angels' Share by Kilian?

The fragrance falls into the warm gourmand family, with notes oak absolute, cognac essence, cinnamon essence and tonka bean absolute. You'll also find notes of sandalwood, vanilla and praline. It launched in 2020 and pays tribute to founder Kilian Hennessy's heritage as heir to a French cognac-making family. According to the brand, the fragrance is "deep into the cellars of the founder's mind and memory, and into its most mysterious dimension: 'la part des anges' or 'angels' share'—an evaporation of liquor in oak barrels that lifts, while aging, like a silent offering to the gods."

Kilian Paris

One word: Sexy.

This perfume is inviting, seductive and sophisticated. It's giving powerful woman with a hefty 401K and a "Freakum Dress" ready to come out of the closet. The warm and spicy notes are strong and no doubt can be noticeable from a mile away. I personally don't find it overwhelming, but I can see why it's not everyone's cup of tea. When the world is in obsessed with rose and vanilla picks, this fragrance is certainly a preference (in the best way).

While the cognac and tonka bean are present, it's the cinnamon that comes through. Many reviewers have described the scent as a 'spicy apple pie' or a 'boozy drink,' which account for it being sweet, but not too sweet. Longevity wise, the fragrance stayed on my skin for hours without the need to layer on lotion, oil or Vaseline beforehand. Even after washing my hands, I can still catch a whiff on my wrist. The strength is no joke.

Fragrance aside, the bottle is nothing like I've ever seen. It's designed like a cognac crystal glass, engraved for light to reflect off just perfectly and gives a peek at the unique caramel color. The design can actually be mistaken for the actual drink. (Seriously, the brand sells a 8.4 oz that looks like a whole bottle of brandy.)

The Bottom Line: A Toast to the Sexiest Perfume

The warm and spicy fragrance was made for attracting attention. Its such a rich scent that lasts all day and a great option to pull out for those special occasions (date night, perhaps?).

The scent gives sultry, but the bottle gives ~luxury~ The 1.7 oz bottle is $275 and 3.4 oz being $415, but it's worth the splurge. If I do eventually finish it, it's a perfume that I love to display and will continue to be the center of my collection. I would say it's slightly heavy due to the design, but it still offers an even spray on my designated areas (i.e., inner wrists, neck, etc).

And if this fragrance represented any of Beyoncé's discography, it has to be "Partition," "Dance for You," "Plastic Off the Sofa" or "Tyrant." Simply put, any sultry number she's ever created has been poured into this perfume. First RiRi, now Bey, Kilian is truly becoming my new favorite fragrance brand.
