Searching for the perfect beach read to take on your Memorial Day vacay? I've got some good news for all you bookworms: Tons of popular BookTok books *and* the new Kindle Colorsoft (was $280, now $225) e-reader are seriously marked down during the Amazon Book Sale, which is running now through April 28.

I'm talking hardbacks and paperbacks for up to 65 percent offKindle e-books for up to 80 percent off$55 off the Kindle Colorsoft and more savings you don't want to miss. With so many good deals to choose from, I've made it easy for you to shop by highlighting what's new with the Colorsoft below, and added some links to a few of my favorite recent (and most-anticipated) reads, which have also been taking over my TikTok feed lately.

You might have heard, but Amazon recently released updated versions of the Kindle Scribe and Paperwhite, along with this new signature edition of the Colorsoft that's marked down by 20 percent during the sale—so here's what you need to know before hitting that "add to cart" button. The Kindle Colorsoft features a 7-inch display (similar to the Paperwhite) that shows all of your book covers, highlights and fantasy maps in beautiful soft colors. It also has an impressive eight-week battery life, according to Amazon, and it's waterproof so you can easily read by the pool this summer without worrying over drops or splashes.

When it initially released, shoppers did have some issues with lagging and a yellow line at the bottom of the display bar, but according to recent reviews (and the detailed video from TikTok creator @maggie_maeve above), the issues seem to be resolved now. Take it from this buyer who said, "I love my new Kindle Colorsoft! Not only can I read all my favorite books, but now I can finally read comics, magazines, and other full color publications, without the bulk and constant reminders of the outside world that iPads and Fire tablets tend to introduce." Another shopper said, "Mine has no yellow band. The display is beautiful. I'm absolutely in love with my new Kindle. My old one was 10 years old and still held a charge, but I wanted some of the newer features, and the color really got me!" Considering all that, plus the fact that you can snag it for just $225 this is the perfect time to finally upgrade your Kindle to the new Colorsoft model.

While you're at it, you might want to also grab some new physical reads on sale, whether they're for yourself or to gift this Mother's Day. One I would definitely suggest getting your hands on while it's on deal is V.E. Schwab's upcoming Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil, which I just read an early copy of and was absolutely *obsessed.* (BTW, every first edition comes signed!) Or if you're into fantasy romance reads and loved the BookTok-viral Phantasma that released last year, you're gonna want to snag the interconnected book, Enchantra by Kaylie Smith, that's out now (I also devoured this one in just a few days). And who could pass up Emily Henry's new release, Great Big Beautiful Life, or this fun story, The Usual Family Mayhem by HelenKay Dimon that's full of family hijinks (and if you're like me, entertaining enough to keep you distracted while waiting for a doctor's appointment)?

Whether you choose to upgrade to the Colorsoft, grab some new paperbacks to bring to the beach this summer or just load up your own Kindle with e-books that cost less than a cup of coffee, remember to do it soon because these deep discounts end on April 28—so get to shopping.
