The #2 Show on Prime Video Has My Adrenaline *Pumping*

My weakness is a murder mystery, a thriller, any story that shoots out the gate like a horse at Royal Ascot. Thus, when I saw the twisty crime thriller that had shot to number two on Prime Video, I knew I was in for a ride. The trailer alone has my adrenaline going—I'm calling it now: Cross season 2 is going to be your next binge-watch.

The series returns for its second season, starring Aldis Hodge as the eponymous D.C. homicide Detective Alex Cross. At the center of the drama is billionaire philanthropist Lance Durand, who is the target of an assassination. As new details come to light, Cross realizes that a vigilante serial killer is taking vengeance on a list of corrupt 1-percenters in the most gruesome way possible.

If you, like me, have some catching up to do, here's the run down of season one. Detective Cross is called to investigate the murder of a Black Lives Matter activist, facing pressure from an ambitious white police chief who wants a swift, clean resolution. The characters are based on the Alex Cross detective series by author James Patterson, who wrote over 30 books. Throughout both seasons, Detective Cross must balance the hunt for ruthless killers with his personal life as he recovers from losing his own wife and navigating tricky family dynamics.
