“Once you overcome the one-inch-tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films.”

Those were the wise words of Parasite director Bong Joon Ho as he accepted the 2020 Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture, Foreign Language—and he makes a good point. The interest in Korean-language films exploded, and that, in turn, has led to wider interest in foreign cinema. I've been particularly dipping my toes into the vast world of Indian cinema, with its compelling musical romances, mystery thrillers and poignant dramas (just to name a few genres). Given my newfound love of so many popular Bollywood titles (I'm looking at you, Sholay), it’s a good thing there’s no shortage of them on Amazon Prime. The membership, which costs $15/month (or $139/year), gives you access to thousands of movies, shows and Amazon original content. So sign up, pop the popcorn and hit the couch: these are the 38 best Hindi movies on Amazon Prime right now.
