In case you missed it, there is a new action-thriller series on Netflix that has viewers buzzing.

Black Rabbit, which is currently the number one series on the platform, stars a nearly unrecognizable Jason Bateman, alongside Jude Law. The series explores the relationship between two previously estranged brothers in New York City, who are drawn into a life of crime when gangster loan sharks enter the picture over an unpaid $140,000 balance.

Per the Netflix synopsis, the show "is a propulsive thrill ride and character examination about the way an unbreakable bond between two brothers can shatter their world — and everything in its orbit."

Created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, there are, of course, tons of dynamic twists and turns along the way, and Black Rabbit currently holds a 64 percent on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer, with an even better 76 percent on the Popcornmeter from audience members. Those high ratings and solid reviews accompany a jam-packed trailer showcasing tense dialogue and high-speed chases.

“Jason is one of the most underrated and unappreciated actors,” writes one commenter. “This actually looks good. Bateman is tapping into his Ozark character, and Law is showing the grit and desperation displayed in The Order. Fingers crossed,” echoes another.

Even better, Bateman did his own stunts, which he confirmed in a recent interview with People at the show’s premiere in New York City. "No specific training, but lots of stretching," he told the publication, adding, “Us old-timers need to make sure everything’s loosened up.”

Definitely adding this one to my #weekendwatch list.
