If you love scandalous true-crime documentaries as much as I do, I’ve got a new recommendation that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Currently holding the third spot on Netflix, Untold: The Liver King is the latest documentary that has everybody talking. Centered around the subject of animal harm, the doc tells the story of fitness influencer Brian Johnson, who quickly gained a massive following not just for his physique, but his commitment to only eating raw meat and animal organs. Johnson, who also referred to himself as “The Liver King,” would frequently tell his followers that in order to achieve his body, they would, in-turn, have to adopt his “ancestral lifestyle” and habits. While Johnson’s lifestyle may have seemed odd, it was also unattainable because according to the documentary, he was actually…using steroids to assist with achieving his super muscular physique.

Without spoiling this insane documentary too much, Johnson develops an entire brand around his “Liver King” persona and “unique lifestyle,” establishing a successful business and even appearing on high-profile podcasts in the process. However, the wheels eventually come off Johnson’s bus, and the revelations that come with it will have you in shock the whole time. While Rotten Tomatoes reviewers haven’t gotten a hold of this documentary yet, some critics have, and the responses to Johnson aren’t pleasant. (This particular review from Pajiba, pretty much tells you everything you need to know.)

Whether you find this all disturbing or fascinating, you should give it a watch because there is truly never a dull moment.

Untold: The Liver King is available to stream on Netflix now.
