Yes, there are a ton of streaming services, and, yes, there's a lot of buzz around the latest releases. But just because something's trending or on lists of most-viewed titles doesn't mean it's always worth a watch.

2026 has already given us an incredible new docuseries, an iconic halftime performance and, of course, the Oscars. But this week, there's even more great content.

Allow me, an entertainment editor, to help you parse through it all with shows and movies that are actually worth watching this week (or this weekend). I'm talking exciting events like the BTS Comeback concert live on Netflix and buzzy new shows like Kerry Washington's Imperfect Women on Apple TV. Enjoy the best selections (recommended by yours truly) on Netflix, HBO, in theaters and more.

From The Comeback season three to Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, here's what to watch this weekend.

1. The Comeback

  • Rating: TV-MA
  • Number of seasons: 3

When it was announced last June that my favorite show of all time, The Comeback, would be returning for a season three after a 10-year hiatus, I kinda freaked out. Now, the newest (and final) installment of the Lisa Kudrow-led comedy has arrived. And all I have to say is, in the words of Valerie Cherish, "Hello, hello, hello."

2. Imperfect Women

  • Rating: TV-MA
  • Number of seasons: 1

What. A. Cast. Kerry Washington, Elisabeth Moss and Kate Mara are the powerhouse leads of this brand-new Apple TV thriller. Secrets, lies and a whole lot of twists are revealed after two women learn their best friend has been murdered.

3. Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat

  • Rating: 16+
  • Number of seasons: 2

Season one of Jury Duty became a runaway hit after viewers fell in love with real-guy Ronald as he navigated the craziness of a fake trial. In season two, the unsuspecting Anthony heads to a company retreat, where things are just as wild (and funny) as last time.

4. Project Hail Mary

  • Rating: PG-13
  • Runtime: 156 minutes

A big-budget space movie starring Ryan Gosling? Sign me up. A science teacher wakes up alone in space with amnesia (my literal worst nightmare). As if this weren't terrifying enough, it turns out he's also humanity's last hope at survival.

*Only in theaters

5. Hoppers

  • Rating: PG
  • Runtime: 105 minutes

Pixar is back with a mega hit! Rave reviews are pouring in about Hoppers from kids and adults alike. The fun film follows an animal lover whose brain is transferred to be inside a robot beaver. Yes, seriously.

*Only in theaters

6. Deadloch

  • Rating: 18+
  • Number of seasons: 2

This Australian series marries two of my favorite genres, dark comedy and murder mystery. When a body part (no spoilers on which one) is discovered in a small town, a pair of detectives are brought in to handle the case, while navigating the many secrets lying beneath the town's surface.

7. Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man

  • Rating: R
  • Runtime: 112 minutes

If you loved the hit series Peaky Blinders starring the incomparable Cillian Murphy, you'll be more than ready for this feature-length film that picks up where season six left off. The British gangster series and film are rife with murder (so don't get attached to too many characters). Oh, and watch out for those flat caps...

8. The Dinosaurs

  • Rating: TV-PG
  • Number of seasons: 1

This Morgan Freeman-narrated docuseries not only hit number two on Netflix's top ten shows list, but it boasts a wild 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. If you’re in the mood for something visually stunning and maybe a little educational (ew, gross, I know), I highly recommend this four-episode miniseries executive-produced by Steven Spielberg.

9. BTS: The Comeback Live

  • Rating: N/A
  • Runtime: 60 minutes

Lisa Kudrow isn't the only one making a comeback this week. To promote their new album, global K-pop sensation BTS is returning with a live performance streaming this Saturday at 7 a.m. on Netflix. The group's last concert performance together was in October 2022, so yeah, this is a big deal.

10. The Lady

  • Rating: TV-MA
  • Number of seasons: 1

The team behind The Crown brings us this new royal-adjacent, scandal-filled series. The true-crime drama follows the fall of Jane Andrews, the Duchess of York's former dresser. No spoilers here, but the story involves murder and a national manhunt.

11. Born to Bowl

  • Rating: TV-MA
  • Number of seasons: 1

As someone who met his husband in a bowling league (and can quote The Big Lebowski to anyone who will listen), this docuseries about professional bowling immediately caught my attention. Add to that the fact that it's produced by A24 and Ben Stiller and narrated by Liev Schreiber, and I'd call this show a must-watch.

12. The Forsytes

  • Rating: N/A
  • Number of seasons: 1

Because we'll never tire of a Victorian drama, PBS is delivering another story of love and betrayal (and class) about a rich British family, the Forsytes. Bridgerton won't be back for a while, so hopefully this will fill the Lady Whistledown-sized hole in our lives in the meantime.

13. Scarpetta

  • Rating: TV-MA
  • Number of seasons: 1

Does Nicole Kidman ever sleep? Somehow, she's found time to star in another series, and this one is seriously star-studded. I'm talking Simon Baker, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bobby Cannavale and Ariana DeBose. The new thriller follows Kidman as a medical examiner investigating a serial killer, and it's seriously so good.

14. The Madison

  • Rating: TV-MA
  • Number of seasons: 1

Taylor Sheridan must be almost as busy as Nicole Kidman, because the Yellowstone creator also has another show out. This one stars my favorite Catwoman, Michelle Pfeiffer, alongside my favorite Santa Claus, Kurt Russell. Pfeiffer plays a wealthy New Yorker who moves her family to Montana after a major tragedy.

15. Virgin River

  • Rating: TV-14
  • Number of seasons: 7

I almost can't believe this show is still running (I mean, seven seasons?!), but when the fans demand more soapy drama, Netflix delivers. Longtime Virgin River stans finally got what they were waiting for at the end of season six (a wedding!), however, the new installment opens with a shocking death.
