When it comes to kids’ clothing brands, Monica + Andy is a household name—I brought my own little one home from the hospital in a rainbow top knot cap adorned with the brand’s signature elephant logo. From personalized baby blankets to the most adorable clothing collabs (including over a dozen collections my Disney-loving heart can’t get enough of), this brand has been doing it right for over a decade. And now, they’re adding a new category to the beloved lineup, and this one is all about bathtime.

Over the past few years, the industry push for “clean” baby products has grown exponentially, with almost 60 percent of parents saying that natural ingredients are the single most critical factor when selecting baby care products. With heightened awareness around harsh chemicals, parents are searching for products they can feel good about, but higher formulation standards usually come with higher retail prices. So, you can imagine my surprise when I saw that most of Monica + Andy’s baby care products were priced at just $10 (with the entire lineup sitting under $20).

“I've always believed that high-quality products shouldn't be reserved for families who can afford premium prices,” Monica Royer, CEO and founder of Monica + Andy, tells me in an exclusive interview. “We started with a commitment to thoughtful ingredients and products that genuinely work and then challenged ourselves to deliver them at prices that make sense for everyday families.” Partnering with superstore giant Walmart also helped make that goal possible.

When formulating these products, Royer says her team’s biggest non-negotiable was “that quality couldn’t become a luxury. We wanted to bring the same high standards that have defined [the brand] into this new category, while making the products accessible to as many families as possible. We believe parents shouldn’t have to choose between quality, performance and price.”

Read on for a deep dive of all six products in the new baby care collection, including personal reviews of some of my favorites.

Featuring organic shea butter, coconut oil, oat kernel extract and aloe, the Everyday Baby Lotion is lightweight, easy to blend and sinks right into baby’s skin—meaning no sticky residue to contend with while shimmying them into their PJs. For those with sensitive skin, there’s a fragrance-free version, but I love the naturally scented organic lavender and chamomile option that smells like a newborn baby: fresh, clean and comforting.

Fans of Tubby Todd’s All Over Ointment will love the Baby Bedtime Cream (especially since it’s less than a third of the price). It has a similar extra-rich texture where a little goes a long way thanks to ingredients like organic shea butter, safflower seed oil and avocado and mango extracts. When my 16-month-old is awake, he’s in full power mode, so I incorporate this cream post-bath a few times a week as a calming ritual to help slow down our bedtime routine.

My son has keratosis pilaris, which results in tiny, rough bumps along his upper arms and thighs due to a buildup of keratin that plugs hair follicles. It’s harmless but can be improved by frequent moisturization using a thick, protective balm like this one made with organic beeswax and oat kernel flour. If your baby’s dealing with an irritated diaper area, this balm can also help soothe and support the skin’s natural barrier.

4. 2-in-1 Baby Shampoo & Body Wash

Sure, lotion might not be for everyone, but a 2-in-1 shampoo and body wash is a staple in any bath time routine, and this one utilizes aloe, oat and organic cucumber for a gentle, tear-free formula that suds up nicely and washes off easily. If you love a scent, rosemary is front and center here, but a fragrance-free option is also available. Psst, this might be my favorite product of the whole bunch.

This gentle, castile-based cleanser is designed for both baby and everyday household use. If you’re on a tight budget, this is a great option that’ll get you the most bang for your buck. Leave it in your bathroom as a one-and-done cleanser that you can use as a baby body wash and shampoo, as well as a hand soap and surface cleaner the next time the faucet needs a good wipe-down to remove any water spots. Like all of Monica + Andy’s baby care products, the All Purpose Baby Soap is free of parabens, phthalates and dyes.

When I had my first kid, I went down a rabbit hole of baby-safe laundry detergents. Switching to a newborn-friendly option stressed me out more than I care to admit. I wish I had this plant-based version back then to make the whole decision-making process easier. It uses enzymes to break down tough stains while still being safe for sensitive skin. Plus, it’s a concentrated formula, so you only need to use about one to two ounces per load, depending on the size and soil level (meaning one bottle could last you up to 32 loads). My only critique? I’d love for the next iteration to come with its own mini spouted dosing cap for easy measuring.
