Ann Taylor fall collection favorites.

If you ask me (and countless other loyal fans of the brand), Ann Taylor is the definition of polished. After all, there's a reason it's been our go-to for workwear for decades. But this season, the beloved label is reintroducing the heritage brand and taking things up a notch with its This Is Ann Fall campaign—leaning into fashion that's as multidimensional as the modern woman, but, as always, finished with a sense of sophistication.

Ann Taylor just launched its fall 2026 collection, packed with elevated pieces that won't just boost your confidence in the office, but will also help you feel stylish and put-together at social gatherings, cocktail parties, date night dinners and every occasion in between. (Because the last thing you want to do between work days and nights out is trudge home to change.) It features a lineup of classic silhouettes, but the brand makes them feel especially up-to-date in a range of on-trend patterns that deliver plenty of personality. I'm talking posh plaid, playful polka dots, academic argyle and chic scarf prints that seem straight out of a designer boutique.

I've already added this horsebit-print shirtdress, argyle sweater shell and pair of polka dot pants to my cart. Once you browse the brand’s latest lineup—a true sight for sore eyes—I bet you’ll be running to checkout, too.

Between the satin fabric and horsebit scarf print, this shirtdress screams "equestrian luxury" (how fitting for the Year of the Horse). Hidden front button closures and a pointed collar give it a sleek, streamlined look, while the (included!) adjustable belt allows you to cinch it in at the waist to show off your shape. As a bonus, it's available in two lengths—Classic and Petite—so you can get the perfect fit, even if you're under 5'4", like me.

Blazers don't have to be boring. Case in point: this Ann Taylor style. It offers all the features of a classic blazer—long sleeves, peak lapels, front flap pockets, a back vent and a double-breasted button front—but with a few modern twists. See: the elongated, cool-girl cut, heritage-inspired houndstooth print and striking gold buttons that won’t go unnoticed among a sea of black. You can even snag matching trousers to complete the look.

Sweater season will be here before you know it, and this jacquard pick will have you ready to embrace it as soon as the first chill arrives. Not only does it update old-school argyle by maximizing its size, the piece itself is also incredibly versatile thanks to its mock neck and short sleeves. Wear it solo on warmer days or layer it over a collared button-up when the temps really drop. Either way, you’ll look smart and stay cozy.

Add a pop of print to your fall wardrobe with these polka dot trousers. With front pleats and wide legs, they strike the ideal balance between professional and playful, so you can confidently wear them from the office to drinks at a trendy cocktail bar. Style them with your favorite belt and some pointed-toe pumps for a look that commands attention. (Psst: Shorties, you can also nab this pair in Petite sizes.)

The style set is going all in on drawstring purses for fall 2026. I'm obsessed with this woven, faux-leather design that supplies a designer look for a fraction of the cost. The bag's cinchable closure allows you to customize its shape while also keeping your valuables secure. Not to mention, it’s perfectly sized for daily wear—big enough to stash your essentials, but not so large that it'll weigh down your shoulder.

From New York to Paris, a trench coat is an autumn staple, and I have a feeling all the fashionistas will be lining up for this one. Its timeless design—complete with notched lapels, functional storm flaps and a classic double-breasted front—won't ever go out of style, so if you're looking to invest in a piece of outerwear you'll don for years to come, this is it. Plus, it features belt loops and a removable waist tie so you can style it to your preference, whether you like a relaxed, fitted, open or knotted look.

Leave it to Ann Taylor to put the "cool" back in "culottes" with this preppy plaid pair that'll make getting dressed feel genuinely exciting. The pleated wide legs go just as well with ankle-baring loafers as they do with fitted knee-high boots, so you can switch up their entire vibe just by swapping out your footwear. I also appreciate that the style includes an adjustable buckle belt that adds yet another layer of polish. (Is it just me, or do they also look like something Kate Middleton would wear for a weekend in the British countryside?)

Scarf print, point collar, silky fabric—oh my! This button-up top hits all the right notes, so you can walk into any room with your head held high. Its flattering, fluid drape allows for effortless tucking, while a subtle puff at the shoulders adds some feminine flair. Throw in the fact that it's machine-washable, and there's no doubt that this is one blouse you'll be reaching for on repeat.

Think a denim jacket can't be work-worthy? Think again. Trimmed with bouclé and topped with polished, gold-tone buttons, this collarless jacket lends an unexpected touch of elegance to what's typically a casual fall classic. The dark-wash denim in 100 percent cotton gives the boxy piece structure for sharp-looking first impressions—and if you need to keep a key card within reach while you’re roaming the office, you’ll love the functional patch pockets on the chest.

Color trends may come and go, but burgundy will always look luxurious—and this midi skirt is no exception. Made from taffeta with a lovely sheen, it has a full silhouette that brings both drama and sophistication to any in-person meeting (be it in a professional setting or a romantic one). My favorite feature, though, is the easy elastic waistband that ensures it's comfortable enough to move, breathe and even dance in. And yes, it has pockets.
