When it comes to summer style, every outfit I wear has to pass one initial stress test: It has to be easy, and it can't show sweat stains (hey, they happen to the best of us). This Frank & Eileen Tuscany set checks both boxes—and then some.

I first wore it on a spring vacation with my two young children in tow. We caught a 9 a.m. flight, so I loved having an outfit that required almost no thought but still delivered peak airport style.

The Tuscany Getaway Set includes two pieces: the Eileen button-up (a Frank & Eileen staple) and the Maisie pant. It comes in a variety of colors, including  turquoise, navy, sand and white, but what stood out most to me was the washed linen. It's soft and breathable with enough structure that it still looks polished after hours of wear.

I especially love the thoughtful details: The chest pocket (perfect for stashing a pacifier or an ID in a pinch), and the bum-covering hem, a silhouette that’s iconic to all Frank & Eileen button-ups and one of the main reasons I reach for the brand again and again.

I also appreciate how easily the pieces pair together and how well they pack. They work beautifully together, but they're also easy to split up and pair with other staples in my closet. I also love the swish-swish of the wide-legged Maisie pant. And how even within the hustle and bustle of a busy morning, the fabric maintained its shape and didn’t wilt as the temperature climbed. We also happened to be Florida-bound, so this set got a quality test drive when it came to the heat.

That brings me to my additional use cases: On sticky subway days in New York, the washed linen still feels airy enough to keep me comfortable. And on cooler coastal mornings in Maine—where my family tends to vacation—I appreciate the extra coverage and built-in sun protection.

A few practical details are worth mentioning: It's machine washable (just wash it separately in cold water before the first wear to prevent any color transfer). After that, wash it in cold water with like colors and tumble dry on low. I found a quick steam was enough to smooth any wrinkles, though I also didn't mind the soft, lived-in creases that developed naturally throughout the day—they felt true to the relaxed linen look.

As someone who's 5'2", I also appreciated the 26.5-inch inseam. It’s one of the rare pairs of wide-leg pants I could wear straight off the rack.

The best wardrobe investments are the ones that quietly remove friction from getting dressed. This set has become exactly that for me—a reliable summer uniform that’s both practical and polished, whether I'm navigating airport security or heading out on a sweltering summer afternoon.
