I have a complicated relationship with Zara. On one hand, I know better than to casually browse the website when I have absolutely no business spending money. On the other, have you seen what they’re selling lately? Between the buttery-looking leather skirts, ridiculously chic outerwear and party dresses that could easily pass for designer, the temptation is out of hand. And with holiday party season approaching, my self-control is hanging on by a thread. This season, Zara has mastered the art of making everyday pieces look damn good. Even the accessories are doing the most (in a good way).

So, in the name of research—and perhaps a little retail therapy—I combed through the latest arrivals to find 15 pieces worth adding to your cart. Some are practical, others are purely for the plot, but all of them have earned my attention.

Bomber jackets are everywhere this season, and frankly, I’m not mad about it. This Zara version puts a polished spin on the sporty staple with its coated viscose-blend fabric and sleek finish. Other details worth noting? A high collar, roomy pockets, elastic cuffs and an adjustable hem that lets you customize the fit.

Who says minidresses have an age limit? Certainly not me. This faux leather number is a fun way to show a little leg without sacrificing savoir-faire. The sleek finish gives it just enough edge, for the perfect night out.

I’m not saying this sweater will solve all your winter wardrobe problems, but it’s a solid start. The cozy knit keeps things comfortable, while the matching belt cinches the waist for a more defined silhouette. Now, if only the rest of your winter wardrobe worked this hard.

Is it even fall if you don’t have an oversized coat to practically live in when the weather drops below 40? This Zara number has a soft feel and roomy silhouette that’s perfect for layering over chunky sweaters without looking like a stuffed sausage. Plus, there’s plenty of room to hide that questionable outfit you’ve got on underneath for school drop-off.

I’ve never had the guts to get multiple ear piercings, but that doesn’t mean I can’t fake the look. Enter these rhinestone ear cuffs, which give the illusion of a perfectly curated ear stack without the needles (or commitment). The sparkly stones add just enough bling to dress up even the simplest outfit. Basically, all the edge, with none of the pain.

If your holiday calendar is filling up, allow me to introduce your new plus-one. Made from flowy georgette fabric, this mini dress features delicate pleats, intricate beading and velvet straps that add just the right amount of drama. It’s festive without screaming Christmas ornament.

Who needs a new coat when you can give your old one a fabulous makeover? This faux-fur collar, complete with jeweled brooches, brings just the right amount of drama to any outfit.

Not quite jeans, not quite your average trousers. These barrel-leg pants offer a fresh take on tailored dressing, with a curved silhouette that adds a little volume. Pair them with a fitted sweater and pointed-toe boots to balance out the proportions.

If your denim collection could use a little excitement, these jeans are up for the challenge. The textured jacquard fabric adds dimension to the classic blue wash, while the mid-rise waist and exaggerated balloon legs give them a fashion-forward silhouette. And can we talk about those oversized cuffs? Other details include belt loops, practical pockets and a front zip-and-button closure.

Fall and winter dressing doesn’t always require a new outfit, sometimes, a fabulous pair of shoes will do the trick. With their rich velvet-effect fabric and elegant slingback straps these beauties can make even your most basic black trousers feel party-ready. And unlike that sequin dress you’ll wear exactly once, they’ll still look chic long after the decorations come down.

Forget the sequins. A little draping can be just as dramatic, especially when there’s a statement sash involved. The flowing detail adds movement and an elegant touch to the silhouette, making this dress a standout choice for holiday parties, weddings or any occasion that calls for a little extra effort.

A 100 percent leather skirt in the perfect shade of chocolate brown? Say less. Between the sleek silhouette and chic pockets, this beauty looks way more expensive than it is. Pair it with a chunky sweater and boots and prepare for the compliments.

These ribbed knee-highs are an easy way to make loafers and Mary Janes feel a little more fashion-forward. Plus, they’ll keep your legs warm when bare ankles are no longer an option.

Consider these the grown-up version of your favorite track pants. Between the side stripes, front zipper and pockets, there’s plenty to love about the sporty design. The relaxed fit makes them easy to wear, while the structured details keep them from looking like something you’d wear to bed.

Tomato red is the color of the season, and these leather ballet flats are an easy way to get in on the trend without overhauling your wardrobe. Made from genuine leather, they add a playful pop of color to everything from jeans to tailored trousers.
