Sports-and-snacking time is upon us. That’s right, Super Bowl 2026 is here, and if you’re not making Seattle Seahawks-themed apps, you must be on the other side, right? Don’t think we forgot about you, ride-or-die Patriots fans.

Here, 13 game day-worthy recipes that are just as epic as Drake Maye's touchdown passes—and celebrate New England's robust food scene.

1. Shrimp Boil Skewers with Corn, Sausage and Potatoes

  • Time Commitment: 45 minutes
  • Why I Love It: crowd-pleaser, beginner-friendly
  • Serves: 6 servings

Ah, tastes like a New England summer. Skewers make this meal easy for guests to grab and snack on as they watch the big game. (You may still want to line the table with newspaper—or a disposable tablecloth—to catch any garlic butter drippings.)

2. Mini Lobster Rolls

  • Time Commitment: 25 minutes
  • Why I Love It: <30 minutes, special occasion-worthy
  • Serves: 8 servings

Are you team mayo or team butter? These mini rolls go the mayo route, with a nice tanginess from a combination of lemon juice and Dijon mustard.

3. Easy Clam Chowder

  • Time Commitment: 45 minutes
  • Why I Love It: beginner-friendly, one pot
  • Serves: 6 (12-18 if serving as apps/shooters)

Don’t forget the bacon garnish. You can serve it by the bowl or turn it into an easy app by serving it in small ramekins (like this chic ceramic set) or disposable shooters.

4. Blueberry Crumble Pie

  • Time Commitment: 1 hour
  • Why I Love It: beginner-friendly, vegetarian
  • Serves: 10

If you really want to lean into the theme, there's no better dessert to serve than a fresh-baked pie loaded with wild Maine blueberries.

5. Lobster Mac and Cheese

  • Time Commitment: 45 minutes
  • Why I Love It: special occasion-worthy, crowd pleaser
  • Serves: 8

Lobster is a New England staple, but it can get pricey, fast. This recipe helps stretch it out. Not to mention it's loaded with gooey cheese. Who can resist that?

blondies

6. Boston Cream Blondies

  • Time Commitment: 55 minutes
  • Why I Love It: crowd-pleaser, kid-friendly
  • Serves: 12

Boston Cream Pie is excellent, but these blondies offer a fresh twist that's easier to serve and share. If the thought of making custard from scratch freaks you out, you can substitute vanilla pudding. I won't tell.

7. Potato Chip-Crusted Fish and Chips

  • Time Commitment: 4 hours, 10 minutes (includes chilling time)
  • Why I Love It: special occasion-worthy, crowd-pleaser
  • Serves: 4

Consider this pub food at its finest. You could skip the minted mashed peas, but I highly recommend whipping up the Spicy Blue Cheese Remoulade; it adds a zingy, tangy kick that livens up the whole meal.

8. Cranberry Crisp

  • Time Commitment: 35 minutes
  • Why I Love It: vegan (if using coconut oil), gluten-free, special occasion-worthy
  • Serves: 8 to 10

If you're not into blueberries, why not honor the Massachusetts state crop instead? Or serve both and let people pick sides? After all, they're betting on everything else during the game.

9. Garlic Herb Butter Parker House Rolls

  • Time Commitment: 2 hours, 30 minutes
  • Why I Love It: vegetarian, crowd-pleaser
  • Serves: 12

These pillowy, buttery rolls are a true crowd-pleaser. Just note that you'll have to budget in a little extra time to make them, since you'll need to let the dough rise for about an hour and a half to two hours before baking.

10. Linguine with Clams

  • Time Commitment: 20 minutes
  • Why I Love It: beginner-friendly, <30 minutes, special occasion-worthy
  • Serves: 4 to 5

Maybe you're not into wings and pigs in a blanket. Maybe you want a classier affair for your Super Bowl party. If that's the case, make this. It comes together quickly with minimal effort; just make sure to de-sand the clams so they don't taste gritty.

11. Chocolate Chip Banana Fluffernutter Sandwich Cookies

Time Commitment: 1 hour, 30 minutes

Why I Love It: kid-friendly, crowd-pleaser

Serves: 18

Fluffernutter—that combo of peanut butter and Marshmallow creme—is considered a New England classic. And just when you thought you couldn't improve upon a classic, Half-Baked Harvest takes peanut butter-banana chocolate chip cookies and sandwiches them between homemade marshmallow.

12. Brown Sugar Baked Beans (Boston-Style)

  • Time Commitment: 1 hour, 45 minutes
  • Why I Love It: crowd-pleaser, beginner-friendly
  • Serves: 12

You can't have a Patriots party spread without Boston Baked Beans! Skip the canned stuff in favor of homemade. These are smoky, sweet and creamy all at once.

13. Mini Cinnamon Apple Tarts

  • Time Commitment: 1 hour
  • Why I Love It: <10 ingredients, kid-friendly, vegetarian
  • Serves: 6

Eight ingredients (many of which are probably in your pantry already) stand between you and this knockout Super Bowl snack. The key is cutting a little rectangle into each piece of puff pastry before adding the layer of apple slices. "This keeps the buttery layers of pastry from puffing up in the middle of the tarts, so they come out of the oven looking just as neat and tidy as when they went in," says former Senior Food Editor Katherine Gillen.
