These Are the 10 Best Cooling Comforters, All Tested by Certified Hot Sleepers

With a 4.9-star rating and a stamp of approval from Drew Barrymore, it makes sense why people are coveting this comforter. The hype lies in its lab-tested, Evercool performance fabric, which absorbs and transfers heat ten times faster than cotton (per the brand). It has a 300-thread count sateen-weave with a Tencel lyocell fiber fill, aka a heat-fighting form of eucalyptus with open cells that allow for hot air to escape. “I don’t know if it’s a placebo effect, but I'm sleeping so much cooler with this comforter than I did before. (I even tested this theory on my other comforter, and no, I think this one is really making a difference!) I'm not waking up in the middle of the night feeling super hot. I still open my windows, but I'm not relying on my AC to keep me cool,” says former PureWow Associate Editor Chelsea Candelario.

As for the feel? “It's SO soft. It reminds me of a five-star hotel comforter and makes me want to lay in bed all day. It's made of Tencel eucalyptus lyocell, so it's very lightweight and breathable. I can wrap it around myself without feeling like I'm being suffocated by heat,” she adds.
