LED lights help show what fan speed you’re at, but trust me, you’ll know. At a 10, you’re ready to film that Beyoncé-inspired TikTok from across the room; that’s how strong the breeze is. It’s about as noisy as a hair dryer at that point, but still quiet enough that I could watch a show without turning on subtitles. (In a smaller space, it may be too much.)
In Sleep mode, the chimes are muted, the lights are dimmed and it oscillates at a whisper-quiet volume, with just enough wind to provide a gentle breeze—not blow your hair back.
If the latter is what you’re after, pushing the BreezeBoost button will achieve just that. It’s a must-try after a long run or if you’ve been working outside and need relief ASAP.
My favorite setting, however, is Natural Breeze mode. It “gently randomizes airflow,” per the brand, and creates a feeling like you’re lounging in a hammock on a breezy day, even if you’re really sitting on a folding chair in your attic-bedroom, furiously typing away at a keyboard (just me?).
It’s a Bedtime MVP
Sleep mode is a one-and-done solution. To truly create a blissful bedtime experience, I recommend pivoting the fan horizontally, then telescoping it so it blasts air just a few inches above your bed. This creates a blanket of airflow that is delightfully soothing, helping me drift off easily, even on balmy nights.
