How soon is too soon to start putting up Halloween decorations? If you're of the summerween spirit, you may have been carving jack o'lantern grins onto pineapples and hosting spooky pool parties since mid-July; if you're a traditionalist, you may be waiting until October 1st.

Whatever you do, don't wait too long to scoop up Target's top Halloween decorations. The bullseye-logoed brand is known for staying on top of the latest trends, and its 2025 launches are no different. Rather than skew gorey, it offers a range of playful, cute and—dare I say it?—chic options, all at a surprisingly affordable price point.

From the return of Lewis—the 8-foot-tall viral talking pumpkin—to velvet bows and Champagne-hued glass gourds, there's something for every aesthetic this year.

Elevate your entryway by flanking the stairs—or front door—with a few metal pumpkin lanterns. The LED faux candle casts a flickering glow, setting an eerie mood, and each 15-inch-tall gourd comes with three AAA batteries, so there's no fussing with cables or extension cords. (One thing worth noting: Target says these are for "sheltered outdoor use," so if they're not on a covered porch, you'll want to bring them indoors at night, or if you're anticipating rainy weather.)

Skulls, pumpkins and bats abound on Halloween, but if you're looking for a less-expected decoration, this embroidered pillow is it. It instantly adds a Wednesday vibe to the space, without skewing hokey.

Maybe you've got little kids at home; maybe scary isn't your thing. Opt for this whimsical ghostly trio instead, which can liven up a bookshelf or mantle—and at $5 for the whole set, it's too good a deal to pass up.

The moody florals and cobwebs set a chilling tone, as soon as you walk through the door, but what makes this accent rug truly a delight is that it's washable. (And just $13!) Suddenly, you won't feel the need to transform into a howling banshee the next time your kids stomp into the house muddy-soled. Just shake off the dirt, pop it into the washing machine and you're good to go.

Let's be real: You need this pudgy little woven bat candy basket. Because how can you have a bad day when this little guy is at home to greet you? And loaded with candy (preferably Reese's pumpkins, but you know, you do you). It features a metal frame to hold its shape, and at roughly 11 inches in diameter, is just large enough to hold a bag of sweets without overwhelming your entryway table.

The trendy hoop wreath gets a Halloween makeover, courtesy of Target's Threshold line. Black roses and other dark foliage complement the metal cobwebs and spider while still providing a sophisticated touch to your front door. Morticia would be proud.

Ring dish, candy jar, spot to house all that eye of newt you've been hoarding—whatever you're stockpiling and need to corral on your coffee table, this little gold spiderweb-emblazoned bowl is the way to do it. (I'm clearly not the only one who thinks this—Target reports that more than 2,000 of them have been sold in the past month alone.)

Set an enchanting tone in your living room, or along your windows, by hanging these "floating" candles at varying heights from the ceiling. Each pack comes with six candles total, so I recommend buying two or three packs to really create a Great Hall at Hogwarts feel (they make more of an impact when clustered together). The candles can switch between bright white and flickering yellow, so you can mix things up, depending on the tone you want to set.

I love a dual-purpose decoration: This ceramic cocotte adds a festive touch to your stovetop all fall long, but it's also ideal for serving soups, chili and dips during sweater season. Oven-safe up to 572 degrees, it's also "highly scratch resistant," per the brand, and durable enough to last for years and years. (Just note that while the bottom is microwave safe, the lid is not.)

Target's also making an excellent case for the return of the punch bowl with this moody little number. At $15, it's practically begging for you to host a Halloween party this year. (And I've got a few big batch cocktail suggestions right here.) Just don't forget the matching cups—they're a must.

Built with realistic bone details, this spooky play on a Frenchie features an ivory skeleton base that’s equal parts cute and creepy. The head can also be turned and tilted to look out the window—and while it’s suitable for indoor and outdoor use, the petite 11-inch size makes it the perfect prop for a dining table or entryway.

Often, when it comes to Halloween decor, everyone tends to think of the big, show-stopping displays (like a 12-foot-tall animatronic skeleton). But the magic of creating an immersive experience is really in the details, like adding a cauldron-themed candle to your coffee table or mantle. Not only does it add to the overall witchy vibe, the candle infuses a space with the scent of black vanilla and amber with notes of spiced ginger and fennel. Trust me, it will "put a spell on you." The soy wax base offers approximately 25 hours of burn time—just be sure a virgin doesn't light it.

Here, a versatile cloth prop that creates an instantly creepy vibe. Its mesh fabric is lightweight, making it effortlessly manageable and moldable, and it’s soft to the touch (unlike cheaper options from big box stores). It can also be used outside, so it’s perfect for covering doors, windows, trees and stairways—and its nine-foot width is guaranteed to cover your entire mantle.

Since his 2023 debut, Lewis has been a social media darling, thanks to his catchphrase, "I am not a jack-o'-lantern. My name is Lewis." And you can still bring this not-so-scary pumpkin ghoul to your own yard. Towering at 8 feet tall, he can greet trick-or-treaters with one of his many other sayings. Plus, he comes equipped with a timer (6 hours on, 18 hours off) to preserve energy.

Glass pumpkins are proving to be a major Halloween 2025 trend, and Target has some of the most elegant (and affordable) options around. Case in point: This Champagne-tinted number, which is available in short, medium and tall sizes. The series ranges from just under 5 inches tall to nearly 9, making them a great addition to a bookshelf or coffee table display.

Take the coquette trend and make it macabre. Bows aren't going anywhere, and you don't have to sacrifice the femme look come All Hallows Eve. This 20-inch style, available in dark green or orange, is sure to darken your doorway (or mantle, or wreath) in the best possible way.

Admittedly, this is one of my favorite Halloween puns—so much so that I turned it into a tattered garden flag years ago—but I like this iteration even more. While printed coir mats tend to lose their design fairly quickly (particularly in high-traffic areas), this style should still hold up through October 31st—and maybe beyond. At $13, I'm willing to take the risk.

Pastel pink, disco-infused Halloween decor remains popular this year, and as much as I enjoy the mirrorball effect on gourds, the marble finish on Target's latest batch of faux pumpkins feels fresh and even more interesting. (Plus, if you're going for the disco vibe, it's a groovy foil to all that shimmer and shine.)
