Jennifer Garner Posts Surprising Videos of Mother Pat on IG—and I Can't Over This One Clip in Particular

Jennifer Garner's mom, Pat, is the coolest—and I've known this fact for quite some time. The proud mother of three (and grandmother of seven) has popped up on her daughter's feed on many occasions, and I've especially enjoyed her guest appearances on Garner's Pretend Cooking Show. (Who could forget the famous creamed corn demo??) Most recently, though, Garner celebrated her fabulous mom with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.

To celebrate Mother's Day, the Last Thing He Told Me star shared a fun montage of charming mother-daughter moments with Pat, featuring a clip of her appearance on the Today show and candid footage of the pair gathering pumpkins outdoors. Set to Mike Floss's song, "Goat," the actress captioned the post, "You’re the GOAT, mom. Happy Mother’s Day."

I may or may not have already watched this video five times, but the one part that caught my eye? The snippet of Pat grinning from ear to ear as she performed in full costume for a crowd.

You'll notice in the video that Pat is donning a blonde wig and a milkmaid outfit as she makes her way around the stage with two people dressed in a cow costume. The unfamiliar clip piqued my curiosity so much that I did some research, and sure enough, I discovered Jennifer's original post from 2023.

I'm not sure how I missed this, but the IG post included a photo of Pat smiling brightly and in full costume, as well as a longer clip of the 86-year-old showing off her acting chops. Jennifer wrote, "Pat Garner herself, in her breakout role as 'Milkmaid.' This one-night-only extravaganza marked the end of the Christmas season at Christ Church United Methodist’s annual #BoarsHeadFestival. I hope my mom’s joy caps off your weekend with a smile—and I hope someone spills the tea on where they found such a handsome and obedient cow."

One fan commented, "Your mom makes the best Milkmaid ever we can see who you take after." Another wrote, "Wow, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and I love it!"

This isn't the first time, Jennifer has celebrated her mother on IG. In honor of Mother's Day last year, Garner paid tribute to Pat with a series of childhood throwbacks with her mom and two sisters.
