Jennifer Lopez has been performing for nearly three decades, which makes her the ultimate professional in any situation…including when a creepy, crawly bug jumps onto you mid-performance.

The footage, which was first reported on by People, shows the 56-year-old “Get Right” singer performing a set in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on Aug. 10, as part of her Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour. While busting out her biggest hits, an icky cricket crawled up her black cut-out top, making its way from her legs up to her neck (a true nightmare, by the way). Lopez, however, wasn’t phased, as she grabbed the cricket and tossed it to the side of the stage without missing a beat. Afterwards, she told the crowd, "It was tickling me," laughing in the process.

The singer’s official fan account posted the video once Lopez’s concert ended with the caption, “Plot twist: @JLo just started rehearsals for Kiss of the Cricket Woman… on stage… in real time.” In the video, you can see the singer starting to serenade the crowd as the creepy crawly climbs up to her neck. Her fans were in awe at how calm she remained throughout the ordeal. “You are such a professional, Jen, but I almost screamed when I saw it was going to your neck!” wrote one of those fans. “I would have fainted at that moment………YOU'RE A MOTHER, JENNIFER!” added another. And my personal favorite, “That’s a lucky cricket.”

The  “Kiss of the Cricket Woman” reference is, of course, a nod to Lopez’s upcoming adaptation of  Argentinian Manuel Puig’s 1976 novel of the same title, which is a musical that tells the story Valentín (Diego Luna), a political prisoner, who shares a cell with Molina (Tonatiuh), a window dresser convicted of public indecency. The two form an unlikely bond as Molina recounts the plot of a Hollywood musical starring his favorite silver screen diva, Ingrid Luna (Jennifer Lopez).

The film is set to be released on October 10. Here's hoping that Lopez doesn't encounter any more critters on stage until then!
