It’s not often we get to see Mariska Hargitay in mom mode, but it’s always a treat when we do.

Stepping out for a special screening of her documentaryMy Mom, JayneA Film By Mariska Hargitay, in Los Angeles, the Law & Order: SVU star was joined by her children, August (18), Amaya (14) and Andrew (13). The film, which is directed by Hargitay, is an examination of the life of her late mother, legendary actress Jayne Mansfield, who tragically passed away at the age of 34 in a traffic accident when Hargitay was just three years old.

The documentary had its world premiere at the Cannes Classics section of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, and is a full-circle moment for the actress, who is now a mother herself. For the big event, August, Andrew and Amaya were dressed to impress, with August (seen below) wearing jeans, a striped t-shirt and white sneakers. Andrew sported an all-black outfit, which he contrasted with a pair of pink sneakers from Adidas, and Amaya (also below) went with a pink theme as well, wearing a ruffled floor-length dress.

During a recent interview with The New York Times, the 61-year-old star revealed she still has very clear memories of her mother, and that she has even drawn parenting inspiration from her. "The reason that I’m like the way I am is because I learned from her," she told the publication.

"I learned what not to do. I learned not to let anyone tell me—that I decide," she continued, adding, "She was amazing. That’s been the gift: I got to see her. I got to have so many moments with her. And we got to make a movie together. She didn’t get to do the kind of art she wanted. But we did it together. We made a piece of art together."

My Mom Jayne: A Film By Mariska Hargitay made its debut on HBO on June 27.
