Princess Diana’s incredible legacy continues to live on, not just with her children, Prince Harry and Prince William, but also through her grandchildren.

In an exclusive obtained by People, historian Amanda Foreman revealed that the brothers' commitment to creating a grounded and authentic upbringing for their children is “pure Diana,” adding, “The values they are instilling and discussing as families may be their best success. They are both very good role models as parents.”

Of course, both the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex have also paid tribute to their mother by giving their daughters her name as their middle name, and despite the noteworthy and documented tension between the brothers, they have both vowed to honor her memory and legacy.

"Everyone wants it to happen on their terms, but that’s what makes it impossible,” added Foreman. Alas, it very much appears that some healing needs to happen with Harry and William, but their shared goal of keeping their mother's values in how they raise their children is well documented. In fact, Meghan Markle recently made an appearance on the podcast Aspire with Emma Grede, where she gave some insight into motherhood and the lessons she wants to instill in her two children. During the interview, she revealed that Archie and Lilibet are tasked with selling produce from their garden at a local farmer’s market on weekends.

"We grow a lot of veggies. We sometimes do a little farmer's market stand," she told Grede during the convo, adding, "There's a cost and a price for things, and I think that's key for children to understand, especially children who are very lucky to have a home that has privilege; you need to know that just like manners, and taking care of the things around you, there is a value on things."

She continued, “Gardening is really, really so great for children because it teaches them patience and teaches them to value and appreciate their food.”

Kate Middleton is also prioritizing giving her children a grounded upbringing. The royal has been quoted as saying, “We hope to encourage George and Charlotte to speak about their feelings, and to give them the tools and sensitivity to be supportive peers to their friends as they get older.”

Kudos to Harry and William (and their partners) for keeping the values of their mother going within their children.
