Welcome to your October horoscope! As a culture, we think of this whole month as spooky time, but for most of it, it’s Libra season. We’re just a swirl of whipped cream on top of a pumpkin spice latte, less The Craft and more When Harry Met Sally. The first few weeks after the fall equinox are for finding balance and getting back on solid ground.
On the 6th, there’s a full moon in Aries that will push boundaries. Aries is an impatient sign and this full moon wants to make it happen. Now. Also on the 6th, Mercury enters Scorpio, a transit that brings more caution and brevity to communication. Think: less inspired rant, and more mind-blowing haiku.
Pluto—planet of extremes—stations direct on the 13th and everything might feel heavy, fated and irreversible. On the same day, Venus leaves detail-oriented Virgo for social Libra, lightening the mood during an otherwise intense time. That said, the days surrounding the new moon in Libra on the 21st have some of this year’s best astrology. These days will be filled with bright beginnings and definitive action.
Scorpio season begins on the 22nd and this is where the whole vibe shifts. Neptune—planet of illusion—retrogrades back into Pisces on the 22nd for one last spin in the mutable water sign that feels it all. Though the general vibe is “let’s all cry together,” there are still some jokes to be had as Mercury enters Sagittarius on the 29th making communication innovative and hilarious.
