I’ve been finding myself one-click away from any random GLP-1 brand that pops up on my screen. After two kids, my body is A TEMPLE THAT SHOULD BE WORSHIPPED tired. Sure, once a month I’ll get a kick in my step and do two to three strength-building classes, feel great about my progress, get my period and then heed the much stronger call of a heating pad and an extra hour of sleep. Simple solutions are enticing to me for this reason: I want to have abs and fit into my jeans from five years ago, but that’s just not where I’m at, and if I’m honest with myself, it’s probably not where I’m ever going to be.

So, between my mouse hovering over generic weight loss shots and an occasional will to sweat, I found myself extremely vulnerable to the whole weighted vest thing. (All the hot moms are wearing them.) Weighted vests appealed to me because they can turn up the intensity of low-impact workouts (like walking my kids to school!) and even help promote bone growth. Toned muscles, aside, as I gear up to 40, my eyes are on my bone health. I’m prone to osteoporosis, and one of the most effective ways to fight it is through mechanical loading—literally putting healthy stress on your skeleton so it stays strong.

Turns out, wearing a weighted vest a few times a week is much easier than Darcy’s Monday 6 a.m. Arms and Abs class. Unlike that gym class, I have to walk my kids to school, so I might as well fold the vest into my lifestyle. After I became “weighted vest lady,” I discovered Omorpho. The brand was a bit intimidating at first to a non-muscled person, but I was intrigued: the athletic gear company designs micro-loaded apparel—clothes with weights evenly distributed throughout to up the impact of workouts. Yes, they have weighted vests, but my eye was on the PANTS. Should all the hot moms be wearing weighted pants? Here’s my review of the Omorpho weighted G-Tight

The Omorpho G-Tight is a pair of leggings with MicroLoad™ weights stitched into the fabric. Instead of clunky ankle straps or a bulky vest, the resistance is spread evenly across your legs so you barely notice it—until you realize your walk, barre set or yoga flow just feels a little more challenging. Research backs this up: studies show that even tiny amounts of wearable resistance can bump up calorie burn, engage more muscle, and help maintain bone strength over time.

Testing the Omorpho Weighted Leggings

What I Like

  • Fit and feel like high-quality leggings
  • Easy to wash and dry
  • 1 pound is distributed evenly avoiding joints
  • Phone pocket
  • Cool-touch fabric

What We Don't Like

  • Looks like armor
  • Expensive
  • 1 pound feels very light
  • May run larger

Omorpho

Over a month, I put the Omorpho G-Tight leggings through just about every scenario I could think of. I wore them on my daily walks—sometimes paired with a weighted vest, sometimes not, depending on how vigilante I wanted to look. I kept them on while running errands, cooking dinner, even sitting at my desk for hours, curious whether the weight would start to feel distracting (it didn’t). And, of course, I tried them in low-impact workouts like Pilates.

Why I Became Kinda Obsessed with Them

Every time I put on the Omorpho G-Tight I felt like I was Black Panther walking out of lululemon. There’s definitely a battle armor look to the miniature weights embedded throughout, but the leggings still feel like totally normal high-quality yoga pants—there’s even a bit of sculpting action if I do say so myself—and the Cool-Touch fabric is exactly that, cool to the touch.

The one pound of weight is distributed evenly (and avoids the joints), so I never felt like I was wearing anything cumbersome. Instead, the pants just provide more pressure, like a hug, which I personally like. When it came to working out with them, I couldn’t feel the increased burn until after. During Pilates, I forgot I was wearing them. I honestly didn’t notice any difference until the next day when my muscles felt sorer than usual. That said, I definitely feel the extra weight the most after a long walk, which makes sense since that’s when my legs are consistently moving for a longer period of time. Plus, after all that (read: a little) exercise, the G-Tights are straightforward to wash in the machine and hang dry.

Bottom Line

The G-Tight’s one pound micro-load might sound trivial, but over the course of a walk, Pilates session, or even just standing at my desk, it’s giving my bones and core that extra nudge. For me, it’s not just about calorie burn or sculpted legs; it’s about knowing I’m layering in tiny, daily investments in my long-term strength and bone health. Plus, who doesn’t need an extra black pair of leggings in their lineup?

Fast Facts:

  • Microload: 1 pound
  • Care: Machine-washable—turn inside out, tumble dry on low
  • Sizes Available: XS, S, M, L, XL (if you’re between sizes, the brand suggests you size down)
  • Material: 73% nylon, 27% spandex
