This isn’t a fresh start. It’s a definitive ending.

Are you feeling burnt out? On the 21st, there’s a solar eclipse in the final degree of Virgo. Solar eclipses are new moons, but this isn’t a fresh start. It’s a definitive ending. This eclipse is in conversation with Saturn, further emphasizing the necessity of making a hard choice and moving on. What’s happening is likely heavy and emotional so be gentle with yourself and others (especially the organized Virgo types in your life).

The fall equinox arrives on the 22nd. On this day when day and night are equal, the sun enters balanced Libra and Mars enters protective Scorpio. This is a major momentum shift out of eclipse season and into a new story. Action planet Mars is finally back at home for the first time since June 2024. It’s been a long time since there’s been this much available energy to get things done. Mars squares off with Pluto on the 24th helping us to push through blocks and do hard, transformational things.

(Horoscopes follow for each sign. If you know your rising sign, reading for that sign too will provide further insight.)

You’re excited for the next phase but also sad to let go of the past. Libra season (from the 22nd) keeps you busy so you won’t get consumed by the sadness of saying goodbye.

Virgo (August 23 - September 23)

The solar eclipse is in your sign on the 21st and this is one for shedding your skin. You’re probably feeling exhausted and in need of some deep exfoliation. Don’t push yourself beyond your limits.

This week’s mantra: “Rest.”
